Click here for the webpage dedicated to the North Yorkshire Council Local Plan Call for Sites.  The webpage gives further information to the process and introduces a ‘Frequently Asked Questions’ section. This should provide answers to specific questions that are likely to be raised and will be updated as and when further queries are received over the coming weeks.

The webpage also contains a link to the mapping website whereby the site submissions can be viewed. This map will be updated when additional sites are added, or if any are withdrawn. An update will be added to the website to notify users when new sites have been added to the map so it's worth checking back frequently over the coming months.

ELECTRICITY CONNECTION/ALTERATION AT: Market Place, Kirkbymoorside

Northern Powergrid, the electricity network operator for the North East, Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire has a requirement to connect new customers to its distribution system. To allow this work to proceed, it will be necessary to excavate a trench and install a cable in the footpath and road adjacent your property.

The work is expected to commence on 6th January 2025 and last for approximately 10 working days.

It is appreciated that there will be a certain amount of disruption during the implementation of this work, but every effort will be made to keep this to a minimum. Temporary traffic control and a barrier system incorporating a temporary footway will be established, with every effort being made to always maintain access to properties.

The work site will be in place for two weeks, however Northern Powergrid will plan the excavations to permit the market to operate alongside  these works.
