All the Town Christmas lights will be put up on Sunday the 29th of November to coincide with the arrival of the Christmas trees for Market Place and All Saints churchyard. Weather permitting, all the lights will be connected ready for the 1st of December.

Thanks to Holt Farms for their very generous annual gift of the two town trees and to the team of wonderful volunteers who put up the lights each year for everyone to enjoy.

Stay Safe, Stay Local, Shop Local.

Everything you need is on your doorstep in Kirkbymoorside and there is quite literally something for everyone within our beautiful town. This Christmas please treat yourselves, your friends and family whilst staying safe and shopping local.

There will be a Christmas Fairy in Kirkbymoorside this year. She's expected to arrive on the 1st of December and will stay in 10 different shop windows, time enough to take stock and make sure that Santa and the elves have a full inventory ready for Christmas eve! Can you guess her name? Here's a clue, take one letter from each of the places she stays, get the combination right and make a wish!!!!

Who will have the best dressed Christmas window in Kirkbymoorside?

Choose your two favourite displays and submit them by the 15th of December via email to town.clerk@kirkbymoorsidetowncouncil.gov.uk or pop them into a pre addressed envelope at the library (envelopes will be available from the 1st of December).

The winner will be announced on the 21st of December at the Town Council meeting.

Wishing you a very Merry Christmas and a happy & healthy New Year!

Stay safe & look after one another.
