North Yorkshire Council, invites you to input into an online consultation hub regarding the update of the North Yorkshire Landscape Character Assessment (LCA).
North Yorkshire Council have commissioned LUC to update the North Yorkshire Landscape Character Assessment (LCA), which will form part of their new Local Plan evidence base.
The assessment will provide an update and refresh of the existing 2011 North Yorkshire and York Landscape Characterisation LCA, drawing together information within the existing district-level LCAs and cross referencing the National Park LCAs. The updated study will provide a single, overarching and unified assessment for North Yorkshire. Since 2011, there have been significant changes in national planning policy and environmental management guidance, as well as newly identified forces for change and changes on the ground. The updated study will reflect these changes and provide the Council with a comprehensive, accessible, and fit-for-purpose resource to support effective decision-making and landscape management across the study area.
