95 Alive

There has been increasing concern about the speed of vehicles on the roads at present.

The 95 Alive road safety partnership is a group of local authorities, emergency services and other agencies that work together throughout the county to reduce the number of people killed and injured on the roads.

  • North Yorkshire County Council
  • North Yorkshire Police
  • North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue
  • City of York
  • Harrogate Borough Council
  • Scarborough Borough Council
  • Highways England
  • Yorkshire Ambulance Service
  • Yorkshire Air Ambulance Service

The aim of the campaign is to reduce casualties and collisions year on year. Visit the Roadwise website for more information.

You can also download 'Safer roads, healthier places', the road safety strategy of the 95 Alive partnership.

How you can help

There are many ways you can help us reduce the number of accidents. You can:

  • report speeding near where you live or work;
  • use the roads safely as a pedestrian;
  • report an issue with traffic lights, road signs, the road surface or any other road issues; and
  • drive safely in wintry conditions, snow and ice.
