Issued on 10 June 2026 for the Ordinary meeting of the Town Council to be held at 7.30pm on 15 June 2026 in Church House, Kirkbymoorside

Members of the Council are required to attend in person. Members of the press and public are also welcome to attend.

Photographing, recording, broadcasting or transmitting the proceedings of a meeting is permitted so long as this does not disrupt the meeting in any way. As a matter of courtesy should you wish to record the meeting please make this known to the Chair.

    1. To receive apologies for absence given in advance of the meeting
    2. To consider the approval of reasons given for absence
  2. To receive Declarations of Interest in items on the agenda
  3. Minutes and Matters Arising
    1. To approve the draft minutes of the Annual meeting held on 18 May 2026
    2. To consider matters arising
  4. Public Session - to allow members of the public to make representations, ask questions and give evidence in respect of any items of business
  5. Discussions with Town Councillors and the North Yorkshire Councillor in respect of questions already posed, and any new matters
  6. Financial matters
    1. To report accounts paid since the last meeting of the Council and to approve cheque payments according to the list provided
    2. To receive the Financial Summary to 31 May 2026
  7. To consider Grant Applications
    1. Kirkbymoorside Allotment Association in the amount of £500 towards the cost of replacement of machinery
    2. Kirkbymoorside Horticultural Society in the amount of £280 to purchase new staging materials for the annual show
  8. Moorside Room
    1. Management and promotion
      1. To receive the minutes of the Moorside Room Committee meeting on 13 May 2026
      2. To consider the recommendation of the Committee to host an Open Evening asap with refreshments to promote the venue
      3. To note expenditure of £58.80 + VAT for a quarter page advert in The Handymag
      4. To note the feature in The Moorsider
    2. Lewis Creighton Exhibition
      1. To receive an update on progress of arrangements for the Lewis Creighton exhibition
      2. To consider the cost of £55 for insurance endorsement for loaned art works
      3. To consider a budget of £100 for associated expenses
      4. To consider a ceiling budget for the purchase of a Lewis Creighton painting for the town
  9. To consider the cost of £6,120 for works in Manor Vale woodland, identified as immediate on the tri-ennial tree safety report
  10. To receive reports from Members representing the Town Council at meetings of outside bodies and on delegated matters
  11. To receive the Town Clerk's report
  12. To receive the Town Mayor's report

  14. To note the date of the next ordinary meeting of the Town Council on 20 July 2026 at 7.30pm in Church House
