- Minutes and Matters Arising
- To approve the minutes of the Meeting held on 18th July 2016
- To receive the minutes of the Staffing Committee meeting held on 9th August 2016
- To consider matters arising
- Public Session - to allow members of the public to make representations, ask questions and give evidence in respect of any items of business
- Discussions with Town, District and County Councillors in respect of questions already posed, and any new matters
- To consider financial matters:
- To approve cheque payments according to the list provided
- To receive the Financial Summary to 30 August 2016
- To note confirmation of the Annual Return for the year 2015-16 by the Auditors and comments recorded
- Staffing - To receive recommendations from the Staffing Committee with regards to workplace pensions
- Public Wi-Fi
- To note that Helmsley, Malton, Norton and Pickering Town Councils have agreed not to proceed with the public Wi-Fi scheme proposed by Ryedale District Council
- To note that only 2 businesses have responded to the public Wi-Fi consultation
- To consider additional information provided by Craig Nattress, Visitor Economy Officer, Ryedale District Council on the proposal to implement public wi-fi in the town centre and agree a suitable response
- Play Areas - To consider and agree the cost of £648.69 (exclusive of VAT)for remedial repairs and replacement parts of the Playdale Trim Trail in the Old Road play area
- Community Defibrillator
- To note approval of the County Councillor Locality Budget Fund grant application and receipt of £762 towards the purchase of a community defibrillator and agree to extend thanks to County Councillor Val Arnold for the same
- To consider and agree to appoint a contractor for the installation of the Community Defibrillator
- To consider and agree to accept a quotation for the installation of the community defibrillator based on the quotations provided: contractor A £575 + VAT; and contractor B £450
- Church House - To receive further information regarding the proposed Community library
- The Royal British Legion Remembrance Service and Parade, Sunday 13th November 2016
- To note receipt of an invitation by The Royal British Legion to take part in the Remembrance Service and Parade
- To agree a sum to contribute towards a wreath under s137 of the Local Government Act 1972
- Receive the Town Mayor’s Report
- Receive reports from Members representing the Town Council at meetings of outside bodies and on delegated matters
- Receive the Town Clerk's report
- Questions to the Chairman
- To note the date of the next ordinary meeting of the Town Council on 17 October 2016 at 7.30 pm in Church House
